RECEIVE A BIG BOOST FROM RECENT VETS RALLY...

On Sunday, September 5th,  Cripple Creek's Old Homestead House Museum's new "adopt a brick program" started with a bang with a premier donation of $1,000.00. The contribution came courtesy of the the recent SALUTE TO AMERICAN VETERANS RALLY.

The funds were generated during the recent Rally from the 23rd annual POW/MIA Recognition Ride.

Stu Sacks, Rally Committee Chairman commented: "The Rally Committee wanted to take the lead on this new fundraising campaign. Part of what we as Veterans have fought for is the preservation of our American Heritage, History and Way of Life. After all the OUTSTANDING support shown for the Rally by the City of Cripple Creek, it's Residents and Business Owners and the City Council, we could see no more fitting way to say THANK YOU."

Captain Margo Hill of the North East Teller County Fire Protection District also had much praise for the Rally Committee: "Our fire department was very fortunate to provide the pancake breakfast for all of the Bikers on the Recognition Ride staging at the Woodland Park High School. We appreciate serving those riding in such an important event" Said Hill.  "We were able to raise a great deal of money to put towards an ATV and rescue trailer, and are now so much closer to our goal!"  Captain Hill Added "Many thanks to the Rally Committee Volunteers for all of the hard work you put forth in organizing such a grand event".

In a separate contribution, an additional $3,000.00 from the Ride has been dedicated to a custom designed Flag Pole and Stone Base Memorial honoring the 5 Branches of the United States Armed Forces. The Memorial has already been presented to the Cripple Creek City Council.
